Our Mission

Delta Phi Epsilon was formed

“for the purpose of promoting good fellowship among sorority women to help in acquiring knowledge, appreciation, discriminating judgment and a true feeling of sisterly love, through the interaction of sympathetic and friendly natures."

Our mission is to provide a sisterhood experience rich with tradition, innovation and opportunities for growth.

Our vision is that we inspire and empower our sisterhood to engage in a lifetime of leadership and service.

Our Vision
Our Purpose
Our Philanthropy

Delta Phi Epsilon works closely with three philanthropies. Although Delta Phi Epsilon has chosen a select few philanthropies to partner with, our commitment to service is not limited to these three organizations. Service is a pillar of our organization, and sisters are encouraged to explore any avenues of civil engagement that interest them with the full support of our sisterhood! On March 17, 1917, during the height of women's suffrage, five women from New York University Law School took a pledge of loyalty and founded

Delta Phi Epsilon.

Delta Phi Epsilon is one of the first nonsectarian social sororities. This means we do not discriminate on class, race, religious affiliation, sexuality, or creed. We believe sisterhood is not to be witheld because of our differences, but strengthened by our unique perspectives and talents. We are also the only national social sorority founded at a professional school.

We have grown to a sisterhood of 106 chapters, both national and international, more than 55,000 sisters strong. We work together to embody the vision of our founders and to embolden and empower ourselves as educated women.
